Precision EDM
Surface finishes can be achieved to as tight as 15.6 micro-inch. Holding .0002 inch tolerance is within our capability.
Taper & Workpiece Capacity
Independent heads allow for 30-degree tapers. Axis travel (X,Y,Z) is 21.7 × 13.8 × 15.75 inches. Maximum workpiece dimensions (L × W × H) are 47.2 × 27.6 × 15.75 inches.
CAD/CAM File Support
Code is generated through Esprit. Edmik accepts SolidWorks files as well as DXF, DWG and IGS formats.
How Wire EDM Works
Electrical energy removes metal without a conventional cutting tool touching the workpiece. Pulsating, high-frequency electrical current creates sparks across a gap, vaporizing small areas of material and enabling delicate shapes.
